    It's that nationalistic time of year again where like the American Music Awards us Brits turn around to collectively pat each other on our musical backs.

    2011 was a big year for British acts with Adele leading the stakes at every turn, constantly returning to the number one spot like it is her favorite haunt.

    Breathrough acts were the name of the game at the same time with Jessie J and Ed Sheeran lighting up the charts with a new take on the pop music we know and love.
