The Artist, The Descendants Win Big At Golden Globes Awards

The Artist and The Descendants dominated this year's Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles last night (January 15)

The acclaimed silent movie 'The Artist' was named Best Musical Or Comedy, while George Clooney's role in  The Descendants saw him pick up Best Actor Award.

Kate Winslet was named Best Actress in a Miniseries for her role in Mildred Pierce.

Martin Scorsese picked up Best Director for Hugo, while the Best Actress Awards went to Meryl Streep for The Iron Lady

Steven Spielberg collected the Best Animation award for TinTin, which stars British actors Jamie Bell, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Andy Serkis.
