Lady Gaga will launch her Born This Way Foundation next month, it has been announced.

The non-profit organization will focus on issues such as empowerment for young people. A statement on the foundations official site states “This Way, Towards Bravery. Where Youth Are Empowered. This Way, Towards Acceptance. Where Humanity is Embraced. This Way, Towards Love. Where Individuality is Encouraged.”

The foundation which focuses on anti-bullying and kindness is the stars latest effort to eradicate prejudice towards others. An event at Harvard Universities Sanders Theatre will kick start the foundation, the Universities Centre for Internet and Society has partnered with Lady Gaga alongside the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the California Endowment.

Reported on Billboard.com when the foundation was first announced last November "Lady Gaga will help empower and give voice to young people who find themselves overwhelmed, under supported, disconnected, isolated, bullied, or struggling," said Dr. Bob Ross, the CEO and president of The California Endowment. He went on to praise the star further by stating "This brand of leadership is sorely needed in today's world."

The Born This Way Foundation will be co-directed by Lady Gaga’s mother Cynthia Germanotta who has previously spoken about her daughters many struggles with the same issues she hopes to battle with her new venture.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has confirmed that she will release a new album later in 2012.

The singer, whose second album 'Born This Way' came out in May last year, said she is planning a full tour as well.

Speaking to The Insider, Gaga said: "I just want to keep going. I'm not as goal obsessed as I am process obsessed. I just want to keep writing music. I'm looking forward to putting out another album and going on tour.

"I feel very blessed to be an artist who gets to make a living doing from what I love."
