Lana Del Rey has said she will not to play to crowds of more than 900 people, ahead of her US tour scheduled for Autumn.

The hotly-tipped, pouty-lipped singer told MTV: "I'm capping every venue at 900 [capacity], because I don't want to perform for more than that.

“What I want to do is three nights in New York, at like Irving Plaza, and then three nights at the El Rey in LA, and then, in between, do 15 cities, and cap it at 900 [capacity] venues.”

Lana Del Rey Debut Album 'Born To Die' Leaks

Del Rey was met with a Twitter backlash after cancelling her performance at London's KOKO last night.

The singer was due to play with The Maccabees and Charlie XCX at the 1,400 capacity venue in Camden, but had to pull out to due to an illness.

Del Rey's debut album 'Born To Die,' which leaked online yesterday, gets a UK release on Monday 30 January.
