Elephant Man has been arrested on suspicion of rape, it has been reported.
The rapper was arrested on Monday (January 30) in Jamaica after the alleged victim filed a report with the local authorities, reports the Jamaica Observer.
The star - real name O'Neil Bryan - has been accused of raping a 31-year-old woman in his St. Andrew home.
According to TaleTela the rapper has spoken to the media outside the courthouse where he declared his innocence.
Elephant Man is now due to appear in court on May 21 for a preliminary hearing.
Elephant Man has had two No. 1 albums "Good 2 Go" in 2003 and "Let's Get Physical" in 2008 chart on the Reggae Albums chart.
