Azealia Banks has publicly admitting to being bisexual.
The rapper, who has been named as One To Watch In 2012, has spoke out about her sexuality in an interview in the New York Times.
''I'm not trying to be, like, the bisexual, lesbian rapper. I don't live on other people's terms.'
Fellow rapper Nicki Minaj has also been quiet on the subject of her perceived bisexuality and even sang about being attracted to lesbians in recent tracks.
She said: 'When I rap, it's just an extension of how I speak, and that's how I talk. If you don't like it, don't listen.
'I'm also not going to explain something just because I said it in a rap. Take what you want from it.'
Azealia Banks was amongst the acts shortlisted for the BBC Sound of 2012 with the likes of Dry The River, Frank Ocean, Niki & The Dove, Spector, Flux Pavillion and Jamie N Commons.
Previous winners of the BBC Sound Of... include Jessie J, Adele, Corinne Bailey Rae, Keane and 50 Cent.
