Electronics giant Apple has unveiled it's third generation iPad - this time adding a high definition screen to the must-have device.
The updated tablet was unveiled at an event in San Francisco and Apple have also announced numerous other improved assets in their latest device.
The iPad 3 includes a 5-megapixel camera and will run on the new 4G network (where the service is available). The new device is 9.4mm deep, whereas its predecessor was 8mm. The iPad 3 is estimated to have a battery life of 10-hours, which is shortened to nine when using 4G.
The WiFi enabled iPad will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. US prices have been announced, with the tablet costing $629, $729 and $829 stateside.
The iPad 3 will launch in the UK, US, Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Japan on 16 March 2012.
