Breathe a sigh of relief - you shall be able to watch both The Voice AND Britain's Got Talent when both launch later this month.
Despite initial plans to launch both shows at 7pm on Saturday 24 March, 2012, ITV has now moved its Simon Cowell vanity-project Britain's Got Talent to 8pm - resulting in a mere 20minute overlap between the two. So if you turn over to ITV you'll never know if Tom Jones spins his chair around on the BBC.
"It's in nobody's interests to split the audience," said an ITV source, while the BBC appeared to agree.
"ITV realised that an overlap was not going to do them any favours and would affect them as much as it would affect The Voice," a BBC source is reported to have said.
