Rihanna has sold over 15 million records in the UK according to official figures from the UK Chart Company.
The Barbadian singer has reached the milestone this month after shifting five million copies of her albums 'Loud' and 'Talk That Talk' within the last 12 months.
Jason Iley, Rihanna's record label manager, has said: "Selling 15 million records in the UK is a remarkable achievement. Rihanna is only 24 and I have no doubt that she will sell another 15 million records in the near future."
However, her record-label boss also added: "It's not about speed, it's about longevity…. Rihanna has a long career ahead of her."
The "Only Girl In The World" singer released her debut album 'Music Of the Sun' just 7 years ago, and in that time, five of her six subsequent releases have already achieved multi-platinum status, The U.S sensation is also the first female artist in history to have had a number one single released in five consecutive years in the UK, and so far has achieved six number one singles and three chart-topping albums.
Illey says that: "Rihanna has treated the UK like home. She's totally embraced Britain - right down to our public transport systems." This is in particular reference to when the r'n'b star took the tube to make her way to perform at London's o2 arena last year.
Rihanna recently insisted that she will release a collaboration with fellow American popstar Katy Perry, saying: "We are still trying to make a song together."
