Johnny Depp and Marilyn Manson have teamed up to record a cover version of Carly Simon's hit, 'You're So Vain' for Manson's new album.
Depp plays drums and lead guitar on the cover, which will appear as a bonus track on Manson's forthcoming 'Born Villain' album. The duo are said to have been friends since the singer appeared as an extra on Depp's TV series, 21 Jump Street back in the eighties. A video for the single featuring both artists is already planned.
"He played drums and lead guitar, and I played guitar and sang," Manson told MTV news. "It's a bonus track on my new record and the video will probably be us looking at each other in a mirror."
Depp previously teamed-up with Oasis to play guitar on Oasis's 'Fade-In-Out' on their 'Be Here Now' album and last year joined Alice Cooper on stage at London's 100 Club.
The track will be released on 30 April, 2012, when 'Born Villain' hits shelves.
Marilyn Manson will headline the first ever Costa De Fuego Festival this summer. For more information and ticket details, visit Gigwise's Festival Guide.
