Red Hot Chili Peppers showed their support for the campaign surrounding murdered teen Trayvon Martin which has dominated US politics in recent weeks on stage last night.
The 'Under The Bridge' rockers opened their US tour with a show at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida last night (March 29) and kicked off the show by wearing hooded tops with the phrase 'Ode To Trayvon, Stand What Ground' written on the back.

The hoody has become central to those campaigning for justice for Trayvon, who was gunned down on February 26, 2012, in Sanford, Florida. His attacker, George Zimmerman has admitted to the crime but is yet to be arrested after he claimed self-defense was behind his decision to shoot.
One media commentator claimed that the fact Martin was wearing a hoody with the hood up at the time of his murder may have contributed to Zimmerman believing he was a threat - a claim those who knew Martin strenuously deny.
The 'Stand what ground' line is reference to Florida's 'Stand Your Ground' law which states that a person may use deadly force in self-defense that Zimmerman claims he acted within.
Other musical stars to defend Trayvon and seek justice for his family include P Diddy and Frank Ocean.
