Stars such as Jaret Leto and Vanessa Hudgens were met with rain and clouds as Coachella 2012 got off to a less than glorious start yesterday. (April 13)

The annual US festival is famed for it's searing heat and celeb filled VIP areas. However, with the sun not making an appearance the only famous faces to be found were Jaret Leto - who gallantly posed with numerous fans milling around the festival area.

Big screen names such as Vaneesa Hudgens, Kate Bosworth, Aaron Paul and Emile Hirsch were also in attendance to catch performances from Pulp, Arctic Monkeys, At The Drive-In and first night headliners Swedish House Mafia.
