Dave Grohl is back in the studio with his former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic and producer Butch Vig working on new music, it has been confirmed.
The Foo Fighters frontman is reportedly spending time with the musicians whilst making the soundtrack to a documentary he made on Sound City Studios in Los Angles. The LA studio is famously where Nirvana recorded their 'Nevermind' album.
Posting on Twitter, Butch Vig said: "The last 24 hours have been surreal! Had a great gig at the El Rey last night, and spent today recording with Dave, Krist and special guest!"
It is not yet known who the mystery guest joining Dave, Butch and Krist in the studio is.
Meanwhile, Dave GROHL has received an apology from Courtney Love after she accused him of sleeping with Kurt Cobain's teenage daughter, Frances Bean, last week.
