Madonna has suggested that she wanted Adele to perform with her at the Super Bowl this year.

Speaking about the '21' star during a new interview with ITV's Daybreak, Madonna says that she she is in love with Adele and that she is keen to work with her at some point in the future.

"I would love to [work with her]. I would love to meet her, I think she's brilliant, I love her," gushes Madonna in the interview which will air tomorrow (April 20).

Madonna went on to say that she wanted Adele to be with her at the Super Bowl half-time show earlier this year. "I think she was having her throat problem, or throat operation, or something," she explained.

Instead Cee Lo Green and LMFAO joined Madonna onstage.

Meanwhile, One Direction will be red faced to discover that they are yet to come onto Madonna's radar. Asked about the teen stars, Madonna says: "That's a pop group, right? Sorry. I haven't seen them yet, no, sorry. Slap my hand."
