Drake has said that his next album will be very different to 2011's 'Take Care' as he is no longer in the same mood as he was when making his second record.
'Take Care' secured Drake's place in the hip-hop A-list but was a downbeat and neurotic collection of songs, best summed up on the track 'Marvin's Room'. However, in a new interview with Billboard, Drake says that his third album will be more upbeat due to his recent experiences in life.
"I'm in a different mindset now that I'm very proud of... It's going to be a very interesting album - probably, to be honest with you, conceptually one of the most exciting projects I've worked on, just because there's so many new things going on in my life," he said.
Adding: "There's a new atmosphere. I'm getting to know new people... Anybody knows that when it's new, that's when I thrive. When there's new things to talk about that's really when I get off."
Earlier this month Drake said he'd never work with anyone like David Guetta, claiming he'd prefer to work with up and coming producers like Jamie xx.
