Having worked extensively on Nicola Roberts' debut album 'Sticks + Stones', Metronomy have set their sights on a female pop artists of a slightly more international level, Britney Spears.
In an interview ahead of Coachella Festival with MTV, band member Oscar Cash told the TV station that Britney was his pick of artists to record with.
"Britney Spears is getting in contact!" joked Oscar when asked who would be his dream star to work with. "You never say no to Britney Spears, I'm trying to think of who else, really. That's probably it."
Meanwhile, Metronomy mainman Joseph Mount spoke of his interest in Coachella festival, revealing he found it hard to get excited about performing at other festivals.
"We've been to so many music festivals that it's difficult to get really enthusiastic about them anymore," he says. "But then, having said that, everyone we talk to is like 'Coachella is amazing' - I think we might be playing on the same day as Snoop and Dr. Dre, it'll be nice to catch up with them, been a while."
Britney Spears is said to currently be considering a Las Vegas residency at the city's Hard Rock Hotel.
