Kasabian have spoken about their hopes of succeeding in America, saying they have 'unfinished business' across the Atlantic.

Despite being huge in the UK and Europe, US success has so far eluded the 'Velociraptor!' band, something they're hoping to change this year," singer Tom Meighan told The Daily Star.

Adding: “I don’t think we’ve ever actually gone out there and worked that hard as a band. It was absolutely gruelling and I mean it. Gig, next town, gig, promo gig, promo gig, and it was good. I think the future looks good for us in America because we haven’t been there for five years. We had a bit of politics with our record company.”

Talking about Kasabian's experience in America, Meighan went on to say: "The shows were great and we were in middle America, in nowhere place, so once you start getting people interested you’re doing OK.

“Like I said to Serge when we were talking about it, it was like we’ve got something to fight for and prove something, because we’ve got Europe pretty much hands down now. But we’ve still got unfinished business in America.”

Kasabian return to the UK in August to headline the Reading and Leeds festivals.
