Gaz Coombes announces two new live dates - tickets

Former Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes has announced two upcoming UK dates in mid May. Tickets are on sale now.

The solo star, who recently premiered his debut video 'Hot Fruit' will play intimate gigs in Manchester and London ahead of the release of his upcoming album, 'Here Come The Bombs'.

Fans of his former indie band shouldn't expect to hear too many hits in his set however, as Gaz recently told Gigwise that he found it 'strange' to see aging rockers trying to recapture their youth by performing their early tracks.

"It was the perfect time for us to be doing what we were doing," Gaz told Gigwise. "The energy of what we were doing suited being younger. There's a part of me that doesn't want to see us performing 'Alright' in our forties. It's not something i'm really into.

He added: "There's nothing worse than seeing some old geezers trying to be young again by playing their early hits. I find it all a bit strange."
