Jessie J will perform a live show at Oxford Street's HMV on Monday, 14 May to launch the 2012 Music Is Great campaign.

The show is to promote the launch of a DVD highlighting iconic live moments in British music history plus a week of celebration and debate on British music, and Jessie will be introduced onto the store's stage by Melanie C, who's Spice Girls performance at the 1997 BRIT Awards is included on the new collection.

"I am super proud to be British and I have always loved repping the UK with my music," says Jessie J of her involvement with the campaign. "Its wonderful to celebrate music and I can't wait to kick off Music Is GREAT week".

Melanie C adds: “We’re so good at music in Great Britain why shouldn’t we celebrate? We’ve produced some of the world’s biggest stars. I’m honored that the Spice Girls are on the DVD, that performance is by far one of my most memorable. I got such a buzz. Music is GREAT Week is about that buzz of a live gig. They are the best thing ever and we Brits are the best at it.”

Admittance to the performance is on a first come, first served basis - so expect London's Oxford Street to be crammed with Jessie J fans from the early hours of Monday morning. Jessie will be on stage at 1:30pm.
