Sir Elton John is said to be 'doing well' and on the mend after he was rushed to hospital with a respiratory infection last week (23 May, 2012).
His partner, David Furnish, spoke to press while in London and confirmed that that 'Rocket Man' megastar was doing well after receiving emergency treatment and being forced to cancel three Las Vegas concerts.
"He's doing incredibly well and recovering," said Furnish in a brief statement.
Elton John's spokesman also spoke of his recovery, saying: "It's nothing more than a chest infection - you rest and it's better. Everything that's planned is still happening."
Elton John is set to hit Europe for a string of dates starting this Friday, 1 June 2012.
