Frontwoman of Against Me!, Laura Jane Grace has given her first interview since Tom Gabel announced his decision to live as a woman in May this year.
In her TV interview since the revelation last month, Laura Jane Grace spoke to MTV about the decision to become a woman and the support he has experienced from his wife and daughter.
"Saying to someone, 'I'm a transsexual,' is the most empowering thing I've ever felt in my whole life," she says in snippets revealed in the US only.
She also thanks her wife Heather, calling her her 'biggest advocate' and shares his fears that other children may treat his daughter differently, saying: "I just hope people are kind to my daughter."
