R&B soul star Miguel has posted a picture of himself alongside Jai Paul and (Paul's brother) AK Paul on his Instagram account, igniting rumours of a collaboration between the trio.
The caption reads "the primo's AK Paul & Jai Paul", leaving us in the dark as to whether this is purely a hangout situation or a preview of some exciting new material. Either way, it's great to see Jai Paul resurface in a music environment, whether he's creating new stuff or not.
The post follows confirmation by XL’s in-house producer, Rodaidh McDonald, that Paul has been working on new music, though there is little sign of an impending release.
Speaking to Dazed and Confused McDonald said: “We finished it, whether he wants to put it out or not I don’t know. It’s just a very long process for him, I guess, He’s been working on (his album) for years.”
Following a 'leaked' album and wide critical acclaim with songs 'Jasmine' and 'BTSTU', the details of his record have, until now, been shrouded in secrecy.
Listen to 'Jasmine' below.
Judging by the strength of last April's leaked LP, we're sure the record, with or without Miguel and AK, is going to be all kinds of brilliant.
