Dave Grohl has praised Arctic Monkeys as 'fucking awesome', described Alex Turner as a 'rock star' and expressed hope they don't self destruct.

"They are fucking awesome. They're taking over America," Grohl told The Sun. "The American audiences fucking love them. Alex Turner, fuck yeah, he's a rock star. I'll see a young band like them become that popular and think, 'Please God, don't let them self-destruct'. Because it happens, you know. But they seem like a band of brothers. Those four dudes seem like they're doing really well and will be for a while."

Foo Fighters tickets to their 2015 UK stadium on on general sale at 10am today (Friday 21 November, 2014). For more information visit Gigwise Tickets.
