Lynyrd Skynyrd have revealed they will play their first two albums from start to finish in Florida next year for a forthcoming DVD release.
Taking over The Florida Theatre in their hometown of Jacksonville for two nights in February 2015, the band will perform back to back shows, airing Pronounced 'Leh-nerd Skin-nerd on the first night and Second Helping on the next.
Famously, the albums featured the group's biggest hits, 'Sweet Home Alabama' and 'Freebird'.
Speaking to The Florida Times Union about the gigs, frontman Johnny Van Zandt said: "We've been wanting to go back and recreate these live records for a long time..."
"We decided to come back to our hometown, Jacksonville, and play at the legendary Florida Theatre. Can’t wait to rock it."
News of when the DVD of the shows is yet to be announced, however it's assumed it will be shortly after the gigs themselves.
