Some predicted that in the age of the MP3, album artwork would die out. The opposite is true - 2015 proves conclusively that bands and labels are taking their cover sleeves more seriously than ever.
From Kendrick Lamar's occupied White House lawn to Sleater Kinney's rotting bouquet (via the cartoonish brilliance of Action Bronson and Pond), we've compiled 50 of our favourite album covers of 2015 so far.
So even if Blur's neon ice cream leaves a bitter taste in your mouth you can admire the likes of Enter Shikari's firing synapses, a suspended Megan James from Purity Ring and the mildly creepy kid on the cover of Passion Pit's Kindness.
