Eminem - Giraffes: Mr Mathers once told a film crew,"I have a weird thing with giraffes, man... I don't like their necks." In Shady's defence, ever since David Attenborough showed us two lanky members from the animal kingdom beating the living shit out of each other by swinging their necks like baseball bats, were a little bit scared of them too...
Diddy - Clowns: The rapper who changes his name more often than a fugitive on the run is apparently terrified of middle aged children's party entertainers. Back in 2002, he was supposed to appear on the game-show Fear Factor, pulling out after producers refused to agree to a "no clowns clause" in his contract. No Clowns Clause is a great name for a band...
Brandon Flowers - Fear of numbers: The Killers leader is terrified of the number 621, the date of his birthday (21 June). When he was younger, a Ouija board told him that hed die on that day. With this in mind, he tries to never fly on his birthday, but was forced to a few years back when travelling to Glastonbury. "That was a real mess", he told the guardian.
Robert Smith - (fake) fear of flying: Described as Aerophobia or aviaphobia, The Cure frontman lied to the band's record label for years so they could play less tour dates and go on luxury cruises. Incredible. He told Blender magazine about the inspired scam. "Around the time of Disintegration, we were so in demand. Saying we had to sail everywhere or take trains, I could have days off traveling. So for about three years, I kept the pretense that I had this phobia about flying."
Matt Bellamy - Fear of spiders: The Muse frontman suffers from arachnophobia and apparently wishes that gravity throughout the world were lighter, so that every single spider would float away and die. We feel your pain Matt. We feel it.
Kanye west - Telephones: Ye isn't afraid to reveal on national television that hes smoked some weed to calm his nerves and is also planning to run for President. The guy must be Fearless, right? Wrong. Apparently he doesn't like speaking on the telephone, suffering from Telephophobia. According to Mr Bieber, "It's funny because he doesn't even use a phone, he just sends email. It's so crazy. I'm like, 'How can you not use a phone?"
Kylie Minogue - Coat hangers: The Aussie pop star definitely has one of the most bizarre phobias we've come across; a fear of coat hangers. "The problem is I hate putting things on hangers. I have a hanger phobia - I don't like the way they sound when you put them in the wardrobe." Oh well, she probably has enough cash in the bank to hire individual clothes carrying humans if she's really that worried.
Rihanna: Fear of fish: Fish better have my money! The superstar singer suffers from ichthyophobia, an irrational fear of sea creatures." I'm super-scared of sea creatures. Even tiny fish. One time I was in the water, and the water in Barbados is so clear you can see your feet - I saw all these tiny fish swimming around my feet, and I had a panic attack. I just froze. This man had to lift me out of the water." Unfortunately we've never been to Barbados, Rih Rih, so we wouldn't know.
Adele - Seagulls: Adele opened up about a traumatic moment when a seagull swooped down and stole her 99 ice cream. "I thought it was going to take me away with it," she told the Metro. 'Rumour has it' she's been terrified of the troublesome winged creatures ever since that dreadful incident.
Thom Yorke - Cars: The Radiohead frontman and general musical genius has had a fear of transportation ever since being involved in a nasty car accident back in 1987. Suddenly 'Killer Cars', 'Stupid Car' 'Airbag' and the 'Karma Police' video make so much more sense.
Madonna - Thunder: Defined as Brontophobia, the Queen of pop has a fear of thunder and storms, reportedly always asking for detailed weather reports before she heads out to her next stop on tours.
