Here's just three huge artists that created their own graphic novel tales or lended their likeness so they could become unstoppable super heroes with even bigger egos. Click ahead for more.
Eminem/Punisher: KIll You - Back in 2009, Slim Shady joined forces with Marvel's anti-hero The Punisher for a bloody battle between the duo and a murder obsessed Parents Music Council. I wonder where the writers got that idea from. A Shady Records Executive once said that Marhshall Mathers has an "other worldly" comic book collection and he even shared the cover with Iron Man back in 2013.
Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello - Orchid: Rage and Audioslave guy Tom Morello created this dark series of graphic novels about a teenage sex worker trying to make her way across a post-apocalyptic landscape. Word of warning, absolutely nothing goes this girls' way.
Gerard Way - The Umbrella Academy: The ex My Chemical Romance frontman created his limited series The Umbrella Academy. The plot is pretty similar to Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events, but with two important distinctions. They're all goths and they've got fucking super powers. Holy smokes. He won an Eisner Award for the series, which is practically the equivalent of winning a Grammy.
Corey Taylor - The House of Gold & Bones: Slipknot's frontman created the first part of this dark saga with his other band Stone Sour to coincide with the band's album, then continued it on his own after he got too attached to a story of The Human who's searching a mysterious world for, you guessed it, The House of Gold & Bones.
Run D.M.C - Under his own comic book imprint, Darryl Makes Comics, Run D.M.C's Darryl McDaniels created his own comic book about a hip-hop legend superhero that comes back down to earth (from somewhere) to protect the helpless and innocent with freestyle kicks and ghostwriting scares.
Billy Ray Cyrus: Hahahahaha. Before Billy boy was better known as Hannah Montana%u2019s dad, he had a one hit wonder with %u2018Achy Breaky Heart%u2019, which spawned this ridiculous Marvel Music comic about a time travelling tour bus and the true meaning of friendship. Christ.
Gene Simmons - House Of Horrors: Every piece of conceivable merchandise on this earth has been plastered with some kind of KISS stamp, so it really shouldn%u2019t be a surprise that Marvel gave Mr Gene Simmons his own god damned comic book. I guess it%u2019s not as bad as a KISS coffin, though. Right?
Ghostface Killah - Twelve Reasons To Die: The concept for the legendary Wu-Tang member's accompanying comic book for his 2013 LP of the same name might be the greatest thing ever. In 1960s Italy, Tony Starks an enforcer for the mob, but is murdered after falling in love with the kingpin's daughter. His remains are melted in vinyl and pressed into a dozen LPs that, when played, resurrect him as the Ghostface Killah, a reincarnated force for revenge. Holy shit.
