Click ahead to discover the acts you'll be feasting your ears and eyes on at Field Day Festival 2016.
PJ Harvey: This multi/wildly talented genius of a woman is the only act to win two Mercury Prizes. Having covered everything from grunge and garage rock to folk and everything in between, she's recently been combining music with poetry and spoken word to mould truly a live experience like no other. She hasn't released any solid projects since 2011's Let England Shake, but maybe she's saving some surprises for next year's festival run. Expect this to be one of the greatest headline sets that London sees in summer 2016.
Deerhunter: Their 2015 LP Fading Frontier is laced with beautiful harmonies, twitching doses of electronica and most importantly, joy. With a deeply rich and layered approach to the music they make, this band are completely in their element when performing live. Seek them out at Field day, unless you're offended by good music.
Four Tet: Let's not beat around the bush. Four Tet is a genius. Kieran Hebden has defined an electronic music genre all of his own and he rests comfortably at its throne. When you combine the exquisite musical offerings with a mind boggling light show and sea of swaying bodies, you have one of the most intoxicating live performances ever experienced.
Wild Nothing: These four guys from Virginia are responsible for their own unique brand of dreamy indie pop that hooks you in from the very first riff you hear. Frontman Jack Tatum has a sharp tongue and understated vocal style that slowly but surely lures you in. This band aren't to be missed when they unleash a bunch of new cuts from their forthcoming album, Life Of Pause.
Skepta: After years of dedication to his craft, the grime pioneer has firmly planted his flag on the music industry this year, recently completing a U.S tour that's helped to drastically extend the reach of UK culture across the globe. On stage, he's a performer with boundless energy, endless charisma and an entourage so deep it puts the HBO show to shame.
Beach House: If Beach House play after the sun goes down, fans will be treated to an incredible light show and the expansive but soothing vibes of this Maryland outfit. Their latest record, Depression Cherry is bursting with colour and atmosphere that'll be sending fans into a hypnotic state with the help of a few state altering substances...
Mount Kimbie: When the sun sets, be sure to head to the DJ set from this English electronic duo, two musicians responsible for deeply sedated and introverted instrumentation that'll send you into a musical trance you won't want to snap out of any time soon. These guys are seriously talented producers.
Dean Blunt: Attempting to categories Dean Blunt's music is near on impossible. Just when you think you've got the guy pegged, the next track plays and you're thrown into another completely different sonic world. Encompassing elements of Americana, dub, grime and drone, Blunt pushes musical boundaries to their limits with staggeringly impressive results. Catching his ominous performance in the flesh is quite a sight to see.
Floating Points: Manchester based musician Sam Shepherd is so much more than an electronic producer and DJ. His live ensemble for floating points consist of sixteen ridiculously talented artists who join together to play songs so rich and powerful that they're like an injection of the purest honey directly into your ear cavities. That's a good thing, by the way. Infusing jazz, soul, funk and every other conceivable genre that exists, experiencing Floating Points live isn't something that should be missed.
