Leanne Mitchell: Crowned the winner of the inaugural series, Mitchell went on to release a cover of Whitney Houston's 'Run To You' as her debut single. Her self-titled first record signalled the start of a dramatic downwards spiral, peaking at 134 in the charts. She was dropped from her label shortly after.
Bo Bruce: Despite finishing as runner up, Bo garnered praise from none other than Kate Bush for her rendition of 'Running Up That Hill' on the live show. Post The Voice, she found fleeting success recording a track with Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, but later entered rehab citing exhaustion.
Tyler James: Having forged a solo venture prior to the show with Island Records, the crooner gave it another shot and came a respectable second place on series one. He went on to re-sign with Island but his debut record failed to make waves - landing 47th in the charts. He most recently starred in Amy, a documentary film about his late pal Amy Winehouse.
Vince Kidd: A reality show veteran having competed with band Futureproof on the X Factor, Kidd went on to make the final in the first series of The Voice. Though his first EP, Sick Love, flopped rather massively, the R&B singer continues to record under Island Records.
Mike Ward: Singer-songwriter Ward is actually the cousin of X Factor winner Shayne Ward - so it's clear that a hunger for short-lived fame runs in the family. The series two finalist had dreams of pioneering country music in the UK throughout the contest. Dream on, buddy.
Andrea Begley: Will.i.am famously stormed off set in outrage after Begley was announced the victor of series two. However, she proved to be popular amongst the public when her debut album stormed the top ten. Since then, we%u2019ve heard next to nothing from her camp.
Matt Henry: Google his name and you won't find much about the Will.i.am doppelganger's post The Voice career. However, his blind audition of Ray Lamontagne's 'Trouble' is genuinely incredible - and it's even racked up over five million YouTube hits.
Leah McFall: Coached by Will.i.am, the R&B singer was tipped by many to win series two, but was ultimately pipped to the post. She went on to collaborate with Mr i.am and teased the release of her maiden album, Weird to Wonderful, in 2014. Fast forward to 2016 and still no sign of that elusive record.
Christina Marie: Dividing judges in her blind audition, Marie went on to join Team Ricky - falling at the last hurdle in series three. She's not up to too much these days, but occasionally posts covers to her YouTube channel.
Sally Barker: One of the show'9s older contestants at 55, Barker was given a fast-pass to the semi-finals by coach Tom Jones. She won her fair share of plaudits with a distinct folk style, but was beaten to the crown by Jermain Jackman. These days, she plays small shows across the UK.
Jermain Jackman: Jackman stormed to victory in 2014 and was touted as the first potential bona-fide star to emerge from the show. Unfortunately for him, that failed to materialise and his debut album sold just 613 copies in its first week.
Sasha Simone: The 2014 finalist teamed up with Tom Jones for a rousing performance in the live final, but it wasn’t enough to carry her to victory. But what’s happened for her since then? You guessed it, absolutely nothing!
Emmanuel Nwamadi: The Londoner deferred his university degree to fulfil his aspirations of a music career – and he certainly made an impact as a runner up in 2015. Since then, he’s been working on new music and still dreams of stardom as a solo artist.
Lucy O'Byrne: Having been eliminated in the early stages on the Irish edition of the show, this songstress had another crack of the whip on series four of the UK contest - finishing a respectable second. O'Byrne is now set to play the main character Maria in a new 2016 UK tour of The Sound of Music.
Stevie McCrorie: The latest winner of the hit competition is hoping to buck the trend and become the show's first breakout star. Scottish singer-songwriter McCrorie is currently on leave from the fire service but will have to go back to support his family if his new album isn't a hit.
