Papa Wemba - 24 April, 2016: Papa Wemba was performing live on air with his band in Ivory Coast, when suddenly the musician slumped behind the dancers on stage, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Irma Bule - 8 April 2016: Irma Bule was infamous for having snakes on stage with her during her performance. Unfortunately, she was attacked by one of the venemous reptiles, and having refused the antidote, performed for a further 45 minutes before passing away.
Mango - 7 December 2014: Whilst Mango was performing live, he held his hand up and asked for a moment. He then had a heart attack. He was later announced as dead.
Dimebag Darrell Abbott - 8 December 2014: In a horrific event, the Pantera guitarist was shot and killed while on stage. He was playing a show when a gunman came in and shot the musician and three other members of the crowd.
TY Longley - 20 February 2003: Playing live with is band, Great White, the biggest venue fire of all time broke out. It is believed that Longley initially escaped but having rescued his girlfriend, wanted to rescue his guitar from the venue, but couldn't escape quickly enough.
Mark Sandman - 3 July 1999: The comic, singer and songwriter had a heart attack on stage when playing a show in Italy.
Johnny "guitar" Watson - 17 May 1996: The eccentric showman was playing live in his usual idiosyncratic style when he had a heart attack.
Edward Lee Morgan - 19 February 1972: During a live set with his band in a Jazz Club, an altercation between Morgan and his wife started which resulted in his wife shooting him.
Les Harvey - 3 May 1972: Harvey was setting up with his then band, Stone the Crows, when the stage was covered in puddles of water. As he touched the mic he realised it wasn't earth grounded and was electrocuted.
Lily Hardin Armstrong - 27 August 1971: Performing live on air for a tribute show in memory of her husband, Louis Armstrong, Lily collapsed at her piano and died on the way to the hospital.
