Michael Cera and co give lesson in heavy rock perfection
Swans' spellbinding array of carefully orchestrated noise is one of the wonders of the world. There are fewer bands that can leave you as breathless after witnessing their monolithic guitar sound and pummeling drums.
It's a primal outlet of angst-driven masculinity accentuated by the sheer volume at which it is all played.
They were back in London promoting their latest album, The Glowing Man, apparently their last album in the band's current incarnation. Michael Cera won't rest easy though, we imagine/ hope he'll be back soon enough.
