23 amazing photos of Public Service Broadcasting at Manchester Science Festival
A truly elaborate affair with string quartet, brass section, and 13-piece choir brought in
“Public Service Broadcasting or Pet Shop Boys - who would win in a fight?” was just one of the audience questions offered to J. Willgoose, Esq. at the one-off space-themed Public Service Broadcasting spectacular at Manchester’s Albert Hall. The gig signalled the start of the 10th edition of Manchester’s Science Festival and featured early tracks as well as a performance of the second album “Race For Space”.
After the Q&A conducted by the Jodrell Bank Professor Tim O’Brien, the retro futurist London duo journeyed through the 9-tracks of The Race For Space, fortified by a string quartet, an impeccably dressed dancing brass section and a 13-piece choir from the Northern College of Music.
