13 stunning photos of Beach Slang at Scala, London, 26/1/17
Philadelphian anthemic rock tinged punk band triumph with feel good set
Few touring bands match up to the level of Beach Slang, they were one of the absolute highlights of Primavera last year and that's saying something considering the calibre of everyone playing. So to see them at Scala was an absolute no brainer.
Their sound that veers on Replacements and Japandroids, had the crowd gushing at their every move as they proved that although only two albums into their career they sound like one of the most accomplished bands around at the moment - they couldn't put a foot wrong as they brought together impenetrable fuzz and life-affirming fist-pumping melodies.
