Big attitude and even bigger tunes, Alma is on her way to superstardom
Last week the luminous-haired 20 year-old Alma took to the stage for her first ever London headline show at a sold-out Oslo. Hailing from Finland, she’s just touching base with a UK audience, but the singer has already earned the support of many.
After a short intro, the stage lit up with neon lights and fans on the front row immediately reached for their smartphones ready to document the moment. Backed by her band and twin sister on backing vocals, Alma took to the stage with ferocious attitude to deliver a powerful and humbling performance. Opening with the bass laden 'Karma', which has surpassed a staggering 23 million plays on spotify, her husky vocals filled the room. There is a punk rock persona which pierces through, while tracks, such as 'Dye My Hair', are more house-tinged. From just one set, you instantly get a feel of what this girl is all about: big attitude and even bigger tunes.
It might have been a small and intimate show, but it won’t be for long.
