September 12 2010 - The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Lady Gaga led the nominations going into the event with 13 - and the singer didn’t walk away empty handed, picking up eight awards.

Her awards included Video Of The Year and Best Female Video for ‘Telephone’, and Best Collaboration for ‘Telephone’ with Beyonce.

As with previous years, some of the biggest names in music attended the ceremony, such as Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Florence & The Machine and Kanye West.

Eminem, 30 Seconds To Mars, Rihanna, Ke$ha and Twilight actress Ashley Greene were also in attendance.
