The band eventually returned in 2000 with the spare, minimalistic ‘Kid A’. The album earned them a number one in America thanks largely to the interest generated by ‘OK Computer’ and its advance leak on the then popular illegal file-sharing website, Napster. Still, much to Yorke’s confusion at the time, critics were left divided the what they saw as the band being “intentionally difficult” with their music.

- Third listen and it is proving another work of art from the masterful Radiohead...got to get to see them again!
- I concur!! Masterful
- The album opens strong...really like the first 5 songs. They definitely create a new radiohead sound motif, an amalgamation of drowny ambiance, thumping bass, multi-limbic rhythms, and an over all drained-of-color, as in blank and white (like a newspaper) feel to it. Thus making it the antithesis of In Rainbows, which was iridescent and filled with color. A polar album in that sense.
They have again morphed and yet retained their essence, which is a signature of all their great albums.
A bol
- Who actually cares about this band anymore, apart from music critics and snobby music fans? I agree that they are good (although they haven't made a masterpiece since The Bends and OK Computer) but there are many bands making much better albums today.
- Good first half of the album. Average second half. Good but not great.
