U2's 360 Degree world tour has been officially the biggest tour ever, taking home $588million – and it's not even finished yet.

To celebrate the Irish band's successful stint, which has seen them play to over 7 million people across the globe, Gigwise has rounded-up the top-20 biggest tours ever.

As you would expect, the countdown includes many of the biggest names in music, including The Rolling Stones, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen – all of whom make more than one appearance.

  • I attended the last 3 madge tours and they were magic. So much going on, the visuals and the entertainment value was fantastic, you end up forgiving her for the inflated ticket prices. the only down side is the rock parts which are usually long winded and acoustic sections and also her obsession with Ray of Light and Music which are always present in her tours and becoming very boring. Her fans really want obsecure songs brought back to life such as physical attraction, gambler, dear jessie etc.

  • But Madonna's tour " sticky & sweet " is the biggest tour for a " single artist " is history , it has been officially announced
