1997: This year’s performance provoked a tear-jerker when Puff Daddy, Faith Evans and rap collective 112 took to the stage to dedicate ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ to the recently murdered Notorious B.I.G. Sting, whose song ‘Every Breath You Take’ was covered during the song’s chorus, also joined the tribute on stage.
