    As The Beatles' 'Sgt Pepper' is remade, see music's 50 best album covers

    The Beatles' 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' album cover has been re-designed to celebrate Sir Peter Blake's 80th birthday.

    The artwork for the 1967 album features the likes of Bob Dylan, Karl Marx, Oscar Wilde, William S. Burroughs, Marlon Brando, and Marilyn Monroe and is widely regarded as one of the most iconic pieces of album artwork. It has been updated to include the likes of Amy Winehouse, Kate Moss, JK Rowling, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, John Peel and many more.

    To coincide with the news, Gigwise has published our Top 50 Greatest Album Covers Of All Time, featuring artwork by the likes of Radiohead, Peaches, Sex Pistols, Joy Divison, The Libertines and Pulp.
