One of the most distressing things about the popularity of BBC talent show The Voice (and yes, there are many) is that the success of the show will almost certainly see a return of Danny O'Donoghue and his experiment in musical tedium, The Script.
After boring us to tears in 2008 with their hit 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', The Script established themselves as one of music's least interesting collectives with a string of bland, inoffensive singles. They released two albums before their fans gave up and wandered off to watch paint dry elsewhere. But the band are sure for a comeback now that lead singer Danny is now a teatime favourite as he imparts his musical wisdom upon young wannabes on The Voice.
We're less than thrilled at the prospect, but the idea of a return for The Script isn't the only one we could do without. Check out our rundown of the least ten comebacks in 2012 - from The Darkness to Girls Aloud, Smashing Pumpkins to S Club 7 - and let us know if there's anyone we've left off the list...
