Coldplay perform live in Boston - but forget their lyrics
Band perform huge show at The Boston Garden
30 July, 2012: Who needs lyrics when you've got some of the biggest soft-rock anthems of the past decade? Chris Martin may have forgotten his lyrics at Coldplay's show at The Boston Garden in Massachusettes, but the show was nothing short of spectacular.
Continuing the band's current world tour, the British four-piece hit the US city last night, with Chris Martin in fine form, leaping and sweating through the band's show.
The only hiccup came when the band performed their track 'Warning Sign' - and Chris Martin forgot the lyrics. Luckily, he had his excuses prepared.
"I was thinking about the Olympics," he told the audience. "I was distracted. I was not in the break-up frame of mind I needed to be in. I'm gonna get back into it; I'm gonna stop thinking about pole vaulting and things like that.
"It's a big deal. You can't blame a guy for thinking about it every once in a while... but the best concert in the world is happening right here, right now. F*ck the Olympics. Let's have a f*cking great time in Boston."
