December 2004: Doherty apparently kept forgetting his lines and almost falling asleep during a gig at Blackpool's Empress Ballroom. According to NME, after about half an hour of the set, a member of the road crew came onstage and physically dragged Doherty away by putting him in a headlock. Doherty 'didn't have a clue what he was doing' the entire night.

August 2008: Doherty failed to turn up for a festival appearance after he missed his flight. Babyshambles were supposed to play FM4 Frequency Festival in Salzburg, Austria, but Doherty didn't bother showing up. The rest of his bandmates had to apologise from the stage after releasing a statement saying "Drew, Mik and myself can only apologise to those who came to see us today. Peter has missed the flight, we are in Salzburg, with no Peter. We will head to the festival and apologize on stage. Adam."
May 2006: At a Babyshambles gig at the London Rhythm Factory, Doherty apparently let his drug dealers onstage to rap over some of the songs. According to one fan, "halfway through the set he let his skag dealers up to 'rap' for over an hour," and they added, "he was wasted as f**k." Another fan called it "the most painful two hours of my life." Ouch.
July 2005: Pete Doherty's performance for Live 8 with Elton John was labelled a 'mess' unanimously by critics. The pair sang a duet, but Doherty seemed completely out of it and could barely stand up on stage, also forgetting the words. Doherty initially defended himself by saying Peaches Geldof made a pass at him before the performance, but later apologised to Bob Geldof for the claim.

Doherty stumbled on stage and then fell off the stage after eight minutes of cursing out Swedish customs. The band and surrounding security struggled to get him back on the stage, and the concert went downhill from there.
September 2012: Doherty cancelled a show in Glasgow in September last year, which was the second show in a row in Glasgow that he's put off. One angry fan wrote on Facebook, "That's twice I've paid to see you and twice you've not turned up, your an absolute discrace [sic] to your fans! Get your act together!!"
