The Weeknd - Kiss Land, 10 September: The title track, 'Belong To The World' and 'Love In The Sky' mark a huge upping of Abel Tesfaye's game since his brilliant Trilogy. Expect something truly sexy and sensational. Sexsational.
Babyshambles - The Sequel To The Prequel, 2 September: Pete D's chequered catalogue in his post-Libertines days may be a little off-putting but new tracks 'Nothing Comes To Nothing' and 'Farmer's Daughter' showcase some rich and accomplished songwriting that suggests Doherty is back on form.
Kings Of Leon - Mechanical Bull, 23 September: Those Tennesse boys have promised a 'raw' and 'back to basics' approach to their new LP. If it has anything at all in common with 'Youth And Young Manhood' and 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' then it's going to be very special indeed.
Birdy - Fire Within, 23 September: As summer draws to an end, the obscenely successful Birdy will be on hand to lift your spirits with her sweet, soul-searing acoustic sounds. Tissues at the ready for a ballad or two.
Manic Street Preachers - Rewind The Film, 16 September: Standing tall as the elder statesman of indie-rock, the Welsh icons are back with a classic and soulful acoustic sound that shimmers with that timeless Manics majesty. If's that's not your thing, they're back with an album of loud 'caustic, kraut-rock' next year.
London Grammar - If You Wait, 9 September: We love London Grammar. With their brilliant blend of sweet but subtle beats and soaring vocals, expect the love to spread as this insanely talented trio become one of the biggest bands in Britain.
Arctic Monkeys - AM, 9 September: 11 years without so much of a career hiccup - how the hell do Arctic Monkeys do it? Long after most bands of their time got shit, gave up and went home, Arctic Monkeys are still at the top of their game, and recently revealed tracks 'Do I Wanna Know' and 'You Only Call Me When You're High' suggest AM is only set to push this band further into the pop stratosphere.
The 1975 - The 1975, 2 September: The year's hardest working band are set to see the rewards of their relentless tour and festival schedule, when they (finally) release their self-titled debut. The band built their fanbase with a collection of flawless EPs, and having ditched most of those tracks for their debut, the band's confidence suggest something very special indeed.
St.Lucia - When The Night, 8 October: Perhaps the most exciting pop producer on the planet right now, Brooklyn-based producer Jean-Phillip Grobler finally drops his debut album at the start of autumn, and we can't bloody wait. Having rinsed tracks such as 'September', 'All Eyes On You' and 'Before The Dive' over the past year, hopes for this record exploded with the recent release of his spectacular new track 'Elevate'. This one will have us dancing all the way into 2014...
Arcade Fire - TBC, 29 October: True, we're basing our excitement for Arcade Fire's upcoming fourth album on the band's all-round general amazingness rather than music we've heard from it (ie, nothing), but it would take a major fuck up for this to be anything other than spectacular. No one does epic like Arcade Fire, and with DFA star James Murphy on board for production duties, this is set to be one of the biggest releases of the year.
Chase & Status - TBC, 7 October: After the epic, field-filling sounds of 'Blind Faith' and 'End Credits' of No More Idols, this London dance duo have an awful lot to live up to (including their place as regular festival headliners) with their third album. Their place on the UK music scene (and the quality of Brand New Machine) seems secured, however, on the strength of lead singles 'Lost & Not Found' and 'Count On Me'. Get thee to a mainstage ASAP.
Chvrches - The Bones Of What You Believe, 23 September: In theory, what Chvrches are doing right now isn't particularly unique, but there's something so fresh in their ice-cold production and the so perfect in the Scottish twang in singer Lauren Mayberry's voice. Singles 'Gun' and 'Recover' suggest a collection of radio-friendly pop, but anyone to have caught their live shows will know things are gonna get a whole lot darker on their debut...
Haim - Days Are Gone: Speaking to Gigwise earlier this year, Haim told us 'the album is coming, and its awesome.' With their string of Americana rock meets slick R&B singles, they've not put a foot wrong yet. Expect an album of solid wall-to-wall pop-rock excellence.
