She's back: Yup, in 2014 she'll be dropping her long-awaited debut solo album, featuring Alain Johannes and Michael Shuman of Queens of the Stone Age, Nick Valensi of The Strokes, Warpaint's Emily Kokal and Shirley Manson of Garbage. The first single 'Meet The Foetus/Oh The Joy' is the sound of Dalle in fierce fighting form - starting with blissed out desert sounds before exploding into a furious rock beast. Welcome back, Brody.
She speaks the truth: Taking a sledgehammer to sexism in music, Dalle is quoted as once saying: "They say women can't play guitar as well as men. I don't play my guitar with my fucking vagina, so what difference does it make?" We demand this be printed on a bumper sticker.
She bleeds music: Rock just comes naturally to her. She started her career when she was just 13-years-old before her first band Sourpuss got signed when she was 15. Now that's talent.
She's 'a fucking Goddess': Yeah, what Shirley said up there.
She's married to Josh Homme: If you can think of a more awesome couple in music, we'd love to hear it. We like to imagine a dinner party with Jay Z and Beyonce. There's Tequila everywhere, something's on fire and Beyonce won't stop crying.
She inspired some awesome QOTSA songs: Josh Homme once told Uncut: "I was a bit of a slut, to be honest. I was always here today, gone tomorrow, but when I met Brody I was like I'm here today and I'm coming back tomorrow...I went back to do those Desert Sessions, and you can tell what I was going through because I was writing stuff like 'Dead In Love' and 'I Wanna Make It Wit Chu'. I was so in love, I was totally revelling in it so much, I was a little paralysed."
She helped shape modern punk: After leaving her native Australia, Dalle headed to LA when she was 18 and formed The Distillers. Signed to the seminal label Epitaph, they released their debut self-titled album in 2000. Fronted by Dalle and her trademark growl, The Distillers would release three albums and prove one of the most definitive punk bands of the decade - making her an icon in the process.
She was in Spinerrette, who were also really good: Somewhat of a supergroup, Dalle went on to form alt-rockers Spinerrette with Tony Bevilacqua (The Distillers), Jack Irons (What Is This?, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Walk The Moon, Eleven, Pearl Jam) and Alain Johannes (What Is This?, Walk The Moon, Eleven, Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures). Their self-titled debut received mixed but largely positive reviews and contained plenty of that Dalle spirit - albeit with a greater sense of adventure.
She makes other people's songs way more awesome: In her time, Dalle has also contributed her raspy vocals and insane guitar skills to tracks by Eagles Of Death Metal, as well as 'Weigh on My Mind' by the Transplants, Queens of the Stone Age's 'You Got a Killer Scene There, Man', Leftover Crack's 'Muppet N.A.M.B.L.A', 'Bargain Healers' by Nosfell and Boots Electric's 'Boots Electric Theme'.
She can not be stopped: In conversation with Amanda De Cadanet (which you should definitely watch on Youtube), Dalle says: "My mom was always dragging me along to some anti-George Bush protest or protesting giant power lines across the street from our house where she sat for nine months heavily pregnant. I hate injustice. I will never take 'no' for an answer and I will not stop until I get to where I want to go."
