Bridie Jackson and the Arbour: After winning back in 2013, the band released their second album and embarked on a tour of intimate venues. They released their latest single, 'Far From The Tree', last year, and play a couple of small UK festivals this summer.
Ellen and the Escapades: The band briefly became BBC 6 Music favourites after releasing their first album, All The Crooked Scenes, in 2012. Sadly, they split last year, saying, "It is with a heavy heart that we say our adventures as Ellen and the Escapades have come to an end."
Golden Silvers: Signed to XL following emerging as victors in the 2008 contest, Golden Silvers released their album True Romance in 2009. From thereon the group have remained quiet, but have gone on to promote the Bronze Club which plays host to a variety of musicians including the Mystery Jest, Micachu and many more. Their Facebook page, alas, hasn't been updated in five years.
The Subways: One of the most successful acts to emerge from the competition, The Subways went on to achieve a lot. They released their self-titled fourth album last year, and it just about cracked into the UK top 40.
Treetop Flyers: The 2011 winners of the competition released their second album, Palomino, this year. This summer, they'll play a handful of festivals, including Moseley Folk Festival.
Stornoway: Another success story of the Emerging Talent Competition, they signed to 4AD and became hugely successful, releasing three studio albums to date. The latest, Bonxie, was released in April of last year.
Scouting for Girls: Though it's been nearly a decade since Scouting For Girls were at the forefront of the noughties indie-pop scene, with the likes of 'She's So Lovely', the band are still going today. They released their fourth album, Still Thinking About You, last year.
M+A: It's been two years since the Italian duo won, and though their win was met with a flurry of attention - BBC radio sessions and Guardian features - they've been very quiet for the past year. According to their last Facebook update four months ago, they're busy recording a new album.
Declan McKenna: After winning the competition in 2015, the indie rock musician is still yet to turn 18. He made waves with his first single, 'Brazil', because it criticised FIFA for awarding the World Cup to Brazil without addressing the deep poverty affecting many of its citizens. Though he's not exactly blown up in the past year, but he's set to play Field Day and Standon Calling this summer, and it's still very early days.
