The 79-year-old revealed the news on his website, which said, "His Holiness will give a talk at the Glastonbury Festival in the morning."
This year's Glastonbury Festival takes place between 24 and 29 June at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
Despite being sold out, so far the only act officially announced for the festival is Lionel Richie, who will take the Sunday legends slot.
