Queen + Adam Lambert: Once a bookies' favourite and would certainly fit the slot of a British institution bringing things to an epic climax. Can you imagine the flares and flags, waving arms and crying faces by the Pyramid Stage during 'Bohemian Rhapsody'? "MOMMAAAAA, OOOH-OOOOOH"
Taylor Swift: Currently a strong rumour for Sunday, and she has that day in between London's Hyde Park ad a huge gig in Dublin free. Who knows? This is the festival that once booked Kylie and Beyonce after all - and Eavis has said he would 'love' for her to headline.
Elton John: Legends don't come more legendary than Sir Elton, and his June UK tour dates lead quite neatly up to Glasto weekend. We'd welcome a sing-along with the Rocket Man.
Blur: It wasn't too long ago since they last headlined, but it was in fact six years ago in 2009. How time flies. Now they're back with their first album in over a decade, and just happen to be gigging the country that week. If not a headliner, then perhaps a secret set? They're already booked for Isle Of Wight and are no strangers to topping Glastonbury.
Fleetwood Mac: They've been rumoured to headline for years, and have a tidy gap in between shows in London and Leeds that falls upon the closing Sunday. They've been announced as an 'exclusive' for the Isle Of Wight, but the same was said of Metallica with Sonisphere last year...
The Libertines: Would it be too much for Albion's likely lads to headline Glasto as well as Reading & Leeds? Either way, The Libs remain a rumour...
Rihanna: RiRi is a rumour too. With an eighth album out and a rumoured too with Kanye, could she team up with Yeezy or headline a night of her own?
Prince: He's always a rumour. It's the festival he was born to headline - and dominate. History is waiting for you, Prince.
Paul McCartney: He last headlined in 2004, and has is back on the road this summer - with a gap in his EU tour for Glastonbury. He has more hits than probably anyone in history, plus 'Hey Jude' makes for a great Glasto closer.
Madonna: There have also been whisperings of Madonna, and why the hell not? One of the greatest-selling artists of all time and a bona fide icon, a huge new album. Her tour doesn't reach the UK until December, but maybe she could give us a taster at Glasto? Perhaps three American headliners is too much for Worthy Farm traditions? Either way, best leave the cape at home...
Noel Gallagher/Oasis: He went from coyly saying he'd be there one way another to a rather sideways comment on that he was booked for elsewhere. Either way, his diary is still free for the Sunday slot. He's more than capable of playing solo with a smattering of Oasis hits and cuts from his two brilliant albums, but with the hatchet seemingly buried with Liam, maybe he could be joined by a special guest or two? Some are even holding their breath for a full-on reunion.
The Prodigy: Their new album recently rocketed to No.1 and they're no strangers to Glastonbury or headlining festivals. Could the rave-rock icons bring a little bit of their trademark terror to close Glasto in style? They're only in Belgium the day before and do have Sunday free...
The Stone Roses: They've not been seen in a couple of years since the last of their acclaimed comeback gigs - everything since has been shrouded in mystery and rumours of working on new material. Now, there are whisperings of the band storming back by closing Glastonbury 2015. Could it happen?
