11 April, 2015: Seasick Steve reigned supreme at the O2 Apollo Manchester last night, delivering a whisky-warm set of old hits and new ones besides.
Out to promote his seventh studio album, the 73-year-old 'hillbilly' rocker showed no signs of slowing down as he dusted off his many personalised instruments and rocked the northern crowd.
Performing new track 'Barracuda '68', he told the crowd that he had just one friend when he was younger who made enough money to afford a car- a Barracuda '68 and the pair used to drive up to an abandoned airfield where they would listen to Jimi Hendrix until the gas ran out.
He also delivered a storming version of fan favourite 'Walking Man' and finished his set with a sublime cover of a Joan Baez tune.
