Paul Weller paid tribute to Olympic gold medal winner mate Bradley Wiggins last night as he played an intimate show at London's 100 Club.

The rocker kicked off the third night of Converse's live series on a bill that also included 2:54 and Spiritualized. Weller's last series of shows saw him play five-sold out nights at London's Roundhouse following the release for his acclaimed album Sonik Kicks. So the 350-capacity venue is definitely set to offer something very special. Those expecting a greatest hit set would have been disappointed as Weller fans are well aware of his usual 'none Jam' set choices.

Opening with 'From The Floorboards Up' followed by 'Wake Up The Nation', Weller looked genuinely pleased to be back.

Speaking to the sweaty crowd, he said: 'It's great to be back in London. It's been a while.'

Weller didn't disappoint as her ploughed through his hour set, breaking his own rule to include Jam classics 'In The City' and 'Broken Stones'.

Later, during the humid gig Weller gave a shoutout to Wiggins following his gold medal victory in the Men's Individual Time Trial.

Running between July 30 and August 10, the ten Represent gigs will also see headline performances from Blur, SBTRKT, Santigold, Toots and The Maytals, Overkill and Nas.
