Arcade Fire - 'No Cars Go'

Arcade Fire - 'No Cars Go'

As the spine tingling grandeur of ‘Intervention’s’ organ march parades into the Arcade Fire’s finest of moments, the Canadian quintet release this little gem from the archive. Included originally on their eponymous EP and once overed with the full epic sheen a church come studio can offer, ‘No Cars Go’ is another album highlight to be given the single treatment. We know a place where no planes go/we know a place where no ships go Win Butler harmonises; then the journey begins. As the track turns from the jaunty to the ethereal all the way up to a kaleidoscopic resolution, the rally cries of an exasperated Butler will whip you up into a state of giddy awe before breezing you back into a gasping state of dreamy calm. Essential.

Released 06/08/07 on Rough Trade
